COMICS ARE A MARVEL(LOUS) TOOL FOR YOUR ENGLISH CLASSES

The entire humankind has encountered a challenging situation caused by the pandemic situation with a huge impact on all the professional categories. Education is one of them, as teachers had to adapt to a new teaching environment and use innovatory resources for their classes.

On the 8th of January 2021, I participated in the ‘SHINE English Teaching Annual Conference’, an online event with more than 400 participants. This public event was hosted by Twinkle Star, a prestigious language centre in Romania in collaboration with Cambridge English Assessment Romania.

The main conference theme was ‘Online and Blended Learning’ and for 30 minutes, I tried – and successfully succeeded, according to the positive feedback coming from the organisers and the audience – in proving that comics are an effective tool to gain momentum in your English classes.
